Stick Repairs

Stick Repairs

It's taken over 4 years and hundreds of sticks to perfect a proprietary method of internal shaft repair. The result is a new shaft reverse-engineered inside the old, leaving the weight, flex, and appearance essentially unchanged.

Refurbished Stock

See below for a list of refurbished stock.

Over the years we’ve developed our very own method of internal repair which involves removing and replacing the carbon fibre inside the shaft in the vicinity of the break, leaving the repair barely visible. Unlike other methods you may have seen, our procedure features thorough consolidation of the reinforcement to remove any excess resin and optimise the finished strength. The reinforcement used is reverse-engineered to replicate the original layup of the stick, hence it adds virtually no weight (approx. 5-10g), and has negligible affect on the stick flex and feel. The shaft length will be returned to original if a noticeable length of damage needs to be removed.

We can mix and match sticks and blades sometimes where a little creativity is required (provided the shaft dimensions are close enough), so get in touch if you have some snapped twigs lying around that deserve a second chance.

We don’t tend to fix blades as they’re very sensitive and finicky, but there are exceptions to every rule, and it can be done if you’re really keen on it and the damage isn’t too bad. Generally cracked blades can be recovered, but a complete decapitation is not financially worthwhile. If the damage is particularly low such as at or just above the heel (in the hosel area), the repair may need to be external and therefore will be visible.

The going rate of $100 for a standard shaft repair is pretty minimal and certainly stuff all compared with the cost of a complete replacement, so feel free to contact Scott if you’d like some work done.  We're open to bulk deals if your team/club has a pile of sticks to fix (combining shipping can save a lot), just get in touch and we’ll talk it over!
