My name is Scott. I live in Dunedin, New Zealand with my wife, 2 kids, and 2 dogs.
I’m a scientist at heart, and love to ask why. My wife hates it though, it drives her nuts. But she accepts it; it’s the foundation for what I’m trying to achieve here.
Near the start of 2022 I had a lightbulb moment. I realised that I could use my experience in electrifying bikes/motorbikes, building things out of composites, and 3D printing, to build custom bike frames right from scratch. Combine these skills with a desire to affect meaningful change on even just a small part of the world, I figured enough is enough!
So I committed to designing and building custom bike frames from basically the raw materials using forged carbon fibre lugs and aluminium extrusion. This process doesn’t really exist for bikes yet; to my knowledge there isn’t anyone else in the world doing it, so I’m working it out as I go. This website is here to document the journey and hopefully, in time, sell the bikes that I build.
